Pre-Authorisation Process
Step 1
Show Your eCard
Present your Heritage Health TPA eCard (from the Heritage Health app) at the hospital's TPA/insurance desk on arrival for admission.
Step 2
Hospital Submits Pre-Auth
The hospital TPA desk submits a pre-auth request to Heritage Health TPA with the diagnosis, treatment plan, and estimated cost via their portal.
Step 3
Heritage Health TPA Approves
Planned admissions: 24-48 hours. Emergencies: 2-4 hours (IRDAI mandated). The approval is sent to the hospital and is trackable via the Heritage Health app.
Step 4
Cashless Discharge
At discharge, the hospital submits the final bill to Heritage Health TPA. Discharge approval typically comes within 2-3 hours after the final bill is received.
