Pre-Authorisation Process
Step 1
Show Your eCard
Present your Raksha TPA eCard (from the Raksha TPA app or HR) at the hospital's TPA/insurance desk on arrival for admission.
Step 2
Hospital Submits Pre-Auth
The hospital TPA desk submits the pre-auth request to Raksha TPA with the diagnosis, treatment plan, and estimated cost. Raksha TPA may request additional clinical documentation before approving.
Step 3
Raksha TPA Approves
Planned admissions: 24-48 hours. Emergencies: 2-4 hours (IRDAI mandated). Raksha TPA's thorough scrutiny means clinical queries are possible — the hospital TPA desk will coordinate responses.
Step 4
Cashless Discharge
At discharge, the hospital submits the final bill to Raksha TPA. Discharge approval typically takes 2-3 hours after the final bill is received and reviewed.
