Pre-Authorisation Process
Step 1
Show Your eCard
Present your Vidal Health eCard or digital card from the app at the hospital's TPA/insurance desk on admission.
Step 2
Hospital Submits Pre-Auth
The TPA desk sends your diagnosis, treatment plan, and estimated cost to Vidal Health via their system.
Step 3
Vidal Health Approves
Planned cases: within 24 hours. Emergencies: within 1 hour (IRDAI mandated). Approval sent directly to the hospital.
Step 4
Cashless Discharge
At discharge, the hospital submits the final bill to Vidal Health. Discharge approval typically takes 1-2 hours.
